  • The Dog Training Club

The Barnet & District Dog Training Club was formed at the end of the 1980's by a group of experienced dog trainers who had a vision about the way forward for dog training in North London.

Our vision was to provide practical dog training aimed at the needs of the dog owner in suburban North London, we are proud that the vision became reality and we continue to deliver some of the best dog training classes that can be found anywhere in the Country.

    Venues

We have a single dog training venue at present which is in the North London area.

The Dog Training Centre locations is within traveling distance of South Hertfordshire, Middx and Central London.

The Sea Cadet Hall is adjacent to the A406 (North Circular Road) and close to the A1000.

    The Trainers

We are very fortunate to have Annette Conn and Kevin McNicholas as our training instructors. In addition to instructing at our dog training clubs, they participate in, train people in, and judge (Internationally) a wide variety of dog training sports including 'championship obedience' (doggy dressage), 'agility'and 'flyball'. They also specialise in overcoming dog behaviour problems, and are referred cases by many Veterinary Surgeons. Annette and Kevin have appeared on many radio and TV programs including Dog Borstal, Celebrity Dog School, Diggit @ GMTV, Disney Club, 'Superdogs', BBC Record Breakers' and 'Dogs with Dunbar'. They have owned and trained many different breeds, and believe that every dog is an individual. Their methods are kind and intelligent (reward based), and they tailor their techniques to suit dogs of different breed, temperament and circumstances. Please note that they do not use check chains.

    The Administration

All organisations are only as good as the administration system they operate with. Our club secretary, Shirley Paine controls the smooth running of our organisation and is on hand at club to assist you with any of your non-training needs. We also have a large group of voluntary helpers who are on hand at training sessions to assist with help and support.
